Friday, August 08, 2008 — Wellsville Creative Arts Center Julie and I have added a last minute show taking us back to one of our favorite venues, the Wellsville Creative Arts Center in Wellsville, NY on Saturday, August 16th at 8PM. Tickets and additional info can be gotten at their website. We were already on our way north to see Bob Dylan's Saratoga Folk Festival with Steve Earle, Levon Helm, Gillian Welch and the bard himself with others on Sunday, and are excited to stop by and see our old friends in upstate NY along the way. posted by LOWdOGS - 5:35 PM - 0 comments Wednesday, August 06, 2008 — August Update Stone Poets will be performing live on Berks local TV tonight (Wednesday, August 6th)...you can watch online HERE if you like, or on local cable...Tomorrow, Thursday August 7th, Julie and I will be performing at the Reading Phillies Stadium before the game from 5PM to roughly 6:30...we will be back with a rhythm section (Matt & JK from the 'Poets) as the Julie Kehr Band on Thursday, August 21 at the same time... Bluegrass at the Barn II happens at the Crab Barn with the Manatawny Creek Ramblers and Crepitus on Friday, August 29th at 7PM. Great place to see a band, $5 cover... I'll be doing a solo show at the Hilltop in Danville, PA on Thursday, September 11th at 10PM. The Next night the Manatawny Creek Ramblers will be at the Steel City Coffeehouse in Phoenixville.. Here's pictures of the jumbo-tron at Reading Phillies last week (thanks, Brenda!) We all had a great time last week, and I'm looking forward to returning with Julie later in the summer (check the schedule below for more details).  Here's a few photos of The Manatawny Creek Ramblers shot by my old pal Otto Bost. Stop by Otto's website, he's got a bunch of cool things to check out there and his services for hire, including his photography.      I DOWNLOADS- Our friend Jeff Saltzman has posted a few of his videos up on Youtube recently, including STONE POETS' performance of A CRUEL SETTING at Homegrown Radio NJ's studios broadcast live 5/10/08, AND Julie and I performing WAYFARING STRANGER with members of Railroad Earth and Roaming Gabriels at a private gig on 5/6/06. I just finished a new batch of new Black Mountain Underground radio shows to be broadcast every Monday at NOON on Homegrown Radio NJ. In the up coming weeks we'll be hearing shows dedicated to Bruce Cockburn, the Tony Rice Unit's performance at the Leesport Auction in 1990 (off my master soundboard tapes), Steve Earle & the Del McCoury Band live, John Gorka at Godfrey's (also off my master) and a comprehensive 4-part Gram Parsons tribute, as well as a bunch of 'mix' featuring live and studio stuff, including tracks from the new Emmylou Harris album 'All I Intended to Be' and Jakob Dylan's new 'Seeing Things', so tune in often.
