Monday, September 28, 2009 — Fall Schedule
Hey Everybody...With help from Rev. we've finally gotten our sister site Black Mountain Underground up and running. It's a free website dedicated to live music podcasts and online shows, presenting 60 to 90 minute collections of songs either as a mix of different artists or focusing on one in particular. Right now there 2 shows available- BMU1 is a mix collection and BMU2 is dedicated to some of the soundboard recordings of Jerry Garcia & John Kahn's acoustic shows during the 80's. You can listen to them either as a podcast download or right on the website itself while you surf. One of our plans is to also bring podcasts of original music presented here, such as solo, Stone Poets, Lowdogs, etc...stay tuned for that...
I'll be playing a couple solo shows this weekend, starting with WDIY's First Friday series at Shuze in Bethlehem, PA this Friday, October 2nd from 7 to 9PM, no cover.
On Saturday the 3rd I'll be back at Ludwig's Inn & Oyster Bar in Glenmore, Pa from 8 to 11PM, also no cover. On Sunday the 4th I'll be back at Zeno's in State College, PA with JK on bass from 9PM to midnight as I am every Sunday.

My schedule for the next week has been a little bit of flux, but I think I've worked it out and posted it below, plus the rest of it through autumn-
-Also be sure to check out my new podcast version of Black Mountain Underground, and sign up while you're there. In the coming weeks and months I'll be producing podcasts of shows that feature topics like 'Recent Soundboards from Bob Dylan' and 'Jerry Garcia & John Kahn in the 80's' (which will actually be BMU show#2) and of course the same kind of mix shows I produced for my friends at Homegrownmusicnj.com (miss you mudbone) which is the format of BMU#1; this week you can hear a recent Dylan board and somethibng frm Garcia/Kahn as well as a John Prine radio appearance in 1970, Townes Van Zandt in 1985, Van Morrison performing Pink Floyd in Stockholm last year and an unreleased Gillian Welch tune performed live, so check it out. If it's not up now, it will be soon.

Wednesday, September 02, 2009 — End of Summer Stuff
Howdy Everybody-I'm still in the midst of finalizing my fall schedule, there will be a short-term addition or two in the next week. Below is what I got.
My solo acoustic shows at Emily's Pub near Green Hills are going to extend into the fall, continuing every other Wednesday except for 9/16 while I'm in Nashville...I will also be doing a special Saturday night show there this coming Saturday, September 5th from 6 to 9PM, no cover, playing for tips...I'll also be there next Wednesday, September 16th...
My Sunday night residency at Zeno's Pub/State College, PA continues through the fall- every Sunday 9 to 12.
Due to some confusion earlier this summer, I want to mention to anyone that may be interested that I will not be playing all of Manatawny Creek Ramblers' shows in the future, due to a decision to use subs when schedules conflict...make sure to check here for MCR shows that I'll be playing-if it's on my schedule, I'll be there.

Here is something I wrote while living in North Carolina-I went through a little writing phase down there that was equal parts John Prine and scream therapy, and this is probably the most successful out of that group of 3 or 4 songs, recorded in woobie cat kitchens at the cabin around 2006 - Anger (Kris Kehr/pincusionman publishing 2006)
This is a song that I wrote and recorded a demo of, but don't seem to play it out...it's about talking to and empathizing with an imaginary dog, recorded at woobie cat kitchens State College around '96-97 - There Goes Harold (Kris Kehr/pincusionman publishing 1999)
