I am happy to announce the beginnings of a new musical endeavor for me called LOW DOGS . It is comprised of myself (lead vocals, guitar & harmonica) and Chris Q (bass, vocals). Chris and I worked in The Recipe together and he is also well known for his work in Jiggle and Hypnotic Clambake . We’ll be performing a bunch of my music as well as some fun and weird covers leaning towards the songwriter-bluegrass side with improvisation…”Cowboy Jazz?…Americana Jam?…you decide…we’ll be out touring this fall…dates will still be posted on my website and also at our new website Lowdogs.com which is currently under construction.

Of course this means I have permanently left The Recipe…I will miss the great fans and the love I got from all but one of the band members forever..hopefully that won’t be an absolute…look for a show in WV later this month with Julie Edlow . I do wish those guys the very best of luck.

LOW DOGS will be at The Town Pump in Black Mountain, NC every Tuesday (except when touring-check dates) starting tomorrow night Sept. 7th.

I will also be doing a solo set at a party this coming Sunday afternoon in Denville, NJ with Fallen From Grace and Joey Mutis III from The Electric Farm . Joey just finished his beautiful new album entitled ” The Electric Farm” and I’ll be setting in on at least part of his set performing tracks from it as well as who knows what…should be a good time…look for Julie Edlow to do a few during my set as well. All are welcome..there will be some kind of charge (like 10 bucks) that will cover food, drink and about 6 hours of music…party starts at 1 PM, Fallen From Grace goes on at 2 PM.

LOW DOGS are back at The Town Pump Tuesday, September 14th …we return to The York Street Cafe on Thursday, September 16 -after that we’ll be at The West Virginia Brew Pub in Morgantown, WV on Saturday the 18th …we’ll be doing a split-bill show with Julie Edlow starting at 10:30 PM… Tuesday the 21st LOW DOGS will be at The State Theater in Falls Church, VA opening for the Davisson Brothers - 8:30 showtime for us.
